The Most Up to Date Information Available on P/F Materials for Steel Parts.

The newest standard to join the MPIF Standard 35 family of materials standards.  "Materials Standards for P/F Parts", 2000 Edition, provides the design and  materials engineer with the latest specifications on powder forged materials.

Each section is divided into subsections based on P/F materials described.  Explanatory Notes and Definitions are provided at the beginning of the standard.  The P/F Material Code Designation is clearly explained and defines a specific material as to chemistry and minimum density.  The four digit material code designation number used in the standard is a modification of the AISI-SAE nomenclature for wrought steels.
