The thesis is based on work carried out in the Department of Materials and Manunfacturing Technology, Chalmers University of Technology. The thesis consists of a review of surface characterisation in powder metallurgy (PM) and surface interactions during sintering with emphasis on water-atomised PM steels pre-alloyed with chromium.
