Description:
Main Bearing Cap Set Bearing cap for the crankshaft of a four cylinder petrol engine. 1.2 litre, 8 Valves. Has machinability similar to cast iron, plus advantages in lower machining costs and higher strength than equivalent cast iron part.

Bearing Cap (Main) Main bearing caps are a recent addition to PM which has been found more economic than the cast iron caps they have replaced. They have the advantages of reduced weight, higher strength, and reduced machining costs. Very close dimensional stability thanks to PM technology.
