QMP GERMANY ACHIEVES REGISTRATION TO ISO 14001
QMP’S RESPONSIVENESS TO ENVIRONMENTAL OBJECTIVES

We are pleased to announce that the employees at the QMP manufacturing facility in Mönchengladbach, Germany have successfully achieved certification to ISO 14001, the internationally recognized standard in Environment Management Systems.

QMP is fully aware that the concept of sustainable development through the management of its activities is a proactive way to ensure that resources for future generations are not compromised. In 1999, the QMP manufacturing facility in Canada was the first ferrous powder producer worldwide to register to ISO 14001. Both manufacturing facilities have implemented procedures to formalize environmental activities in relation to: process control, training, awareness and competence, communication, emergency preparedness and response.

In line with QMP’s global policy to focus on the prevention of pollution and conform to regulatory requirements on environmental matters, the certification to ISO 14001 standards further reinforces QMP’s commitment to the environment, while continually improving our ferrous powders and services for our customers worldwide.
