Description:
These parts are used as interlock mechanism installed on trucks larger than 10 t and buses. Up to this time, forging was used for manufacturing. In hardening, these parts tend to warp, and many proccesses were necessary for correcting the part. When switching to sintering, some counter measures for warping that are on the following list enabled mass production. 1. Improvement of powder feeding mechanism to reduce inequality of density. 2. Improvement of the sizing tool. 3. Use of specialised equipment for quenching. 4. Use of specilised press machine for special sizing. As a result, compared to forging, we have succeded in producing a shape more similar to the finished goods, managed to cut down the machining cost and accomplished cost for almost 30%.
