This book is concerned with research into the liquid phase sintering of systems where there is extensive interaction between components and where there is not or very little.

It covers the theoretical aspects of the phenomena which occur during liquid phase sintering and volume changes during sintering.

The remaining three chapters consider particular systems grouped according to solubilities in the liquid and solid states.
