EPMA Constitution
The EPMA Constitution required the Council to be composed of a minimum of seven individuals with voting power and appointed by the General Assembly. In practice, the Council has always been larger than its permitted minimum. Initially, it was constituted with 12 members and has since been increased to 16. Seats on Council are allocated according to the number of Full Members in each of the sectors making up the EPMA's spectrum of interest; at the same time, consideration is given to ensuring an equitable geographical spread of Council members around Europe. The EPMA elected a new Council and Executive Board for a 3 year term from 2007 - 2010. The election was held during the association's 18th General Assembly in Istanbul, Turkey. The full make up of the present EPMA Council is as follows: Representing PM Parts Sector Representing Powder Sector Thomas Witheford (Hoeganaes Corporation Europe, Germany) Representing Equipment Sector Representing Refractory and Hard Material Sectors Representing PM Semi Sector Martin Blömacher (BASF AG, Germany) Dr Bruno Vicenzi (MIMitalia srl, Italy
