Polymer-Chemie is an independent, privately owned company serving as a link between polymer manufacturers and the plastics processing industry.

Polymer-Chemie was founded in 1973 and is a leading compounder with a production volume exceeding 150,000 tons of polymer compounds per year. Currently there are more than 40 compounding units in operation. Approx. 450 employees achieve an annual turnover of 130 million Euro.

The Metal Powder Compounds division was established in 2005 and has been producing and marketing its range of standard and custom-made polyMIM® feedstock since 2006. Metal injection moulding allows for cost-effective production of complex metal components by combining the processes of injection moulding and sintering. Polymer-Chemie Metal Powder Compounds developed an environmentally sound water-soluble binder system. Thus polyMIM® combines the
cost and quality advantages of metal injection moulding with ecological demands.

All common MIM metal alloys are available as ready-to-mould standard feedstock compounds. The polyMIM® portfolio includes low alloy, stainless and super alloy feedstock.

Polymer-Chemie meets highest quality requirements. The Company uses multifaceted devices for analysis and testing in order to insure the superior quality of its compounds.

Polymer-Chemie takes pride in a sophisticated quality management system and the quality awareness of its employees. The Company has been certified in accordance with ISO 9001 since 1993, and in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 since 2001.
