Welcome to the PM Training Course Homepage
The 2008 PM Training Course, last in a series of four Training Courses funded by the EU under the Marie Curie Programme, takes place in Acqui Terme, Italy from 21st to 29th June. Approximately 70 students from all over Europe will convene in this delightful spa town in northern Italy for nine days of concentrated study on powder metallurgy.
The Training Course is divided into a Summer School of seven days' duration followed by two parallel Short Courses on “MIM” and “PM Applications”. Around 40 PM experts, gathered from both academia and industry, will present lectures on the design and capabilities of PM components and materials. The residential course offers a unique opportunity for students and speakers to mingle and discuss in greater depth, points highlighted in lectures, problems and potential future activities.
The participation fee for the whole event is €195 per person. For this non-refundable fee, participants will receive all relevant course documents plus refreshments, meals and accommodation. They will also receive a grant towards their reasonable travel costs, calculated according to EU criteria. Also included in this fee is one year's free Student membership of the EPMA, entitling members to discounted registration to the EPMA PM Congresses and Exhibitions, amongst other benefits.
The deadline for receiving applications for the 2008 PM Training Courses is Friday, 21st March. Applications received after this date will not be eligible.
