HOW TO GET TO MADRID BY AIR
The main airport in Madrid is Barajas International Airport. It has four terminals and is located 12 km northeast of the capital.

How to get to the airport

Metro : Line 8 ( Nuevos Ministerios-Aeropuerto T4 ) connects the capital with Barajas international airport, T4 in 20 minutes and only 12 minutes to the other terminals.

HOW TO GET TO MADRID BY TRAIN
Atocha and Chamartín are the two main railway stations as they receive short-haul, long-distance, high-speed and suburban trains. Chamartín also receives international arrivals from France and Portugal.

From the airport : take the underground/metro line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios. Change to the commuter train line (Cercanias) and take any train going to Atocha station (C2, C3, C4, C7, C10). In Atocha, take line C5 in the direction of Humanes and get off at Leganés Central. Upon leaving the train station from the main exit, turn left and walk straight on for 5 minutes until you reach the University.

From the AVE : in Atocha station take the commuter train line (Cercanias) C5 to Leganés Central. Upon leaving the train station from the main exit, turn left and walk straight on for 5 minutes until you reach the University

From the centre of Madrid : the quickest way is to take the metro line 1 to Atocha Renfe station and then take the commuter train line (Cercanias) train C5 to Humanes and get off at Leganés Central. Upon leaving the train station from the main exit, turn left and walk straight on for 5 minutes until you reach the University.
