The recently launched edition at the Euro PM2019 Congress & Exhibition in Maastricht, The Netherlands, looks to build on the previous versions by further expanding the depth and range of case studies from several industries, as well as, providing an update of the AM technical processes and new ‘Non-Destructive Testing’ aspects, from the two previous editions. Since its original launch in 2013 all editions have been widely distributed and downloaded from EPMA.com, as well as, distributed at many industry related events throughout Europe and more recently cited as reference text for academics, during the last 6 years of the brochure being in circulation.
The revised 68-page edition includes content from over 100 contributors and now boasts over 60 case studies and contains new and revised content on:
- Overview of standardisation activities in the field of additive manufacturing
- Metal Binder Jetting and Sintering
- Non-Destructive Testing for AM parts – Ultrasonic Testing
'This is still a great introductory booklet for potential users of the Additive Manufacturing (AM) process, as it provides a neutral view of the main AM processes and how to get the most out of this new manufacturing process' explained Andrew Almond, EPMA's Marketing Manager. He added 'It is with great thanks to Adeline Riou and Claus Aumund-Kopp, who are the main drivers of these editions, that the newly revised edition has been able to be produced, as well as the support of the EuroAM Sectoral Group, to highlight the components that can be manufactured through the AM processes.'
If you would like to know more about the EuroAM Sectoral Group or join the mailing list to keep up-to-date on the group’s activities, please join the EPMA Mailing List, selecting EuroAM or AM in the relevant fields.
