EPMA Hires New Technical Manager

European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has hired Mr. Bruno Vicenzi as a Technical Manager to bolster the EPMA’s Technical Team in the face of Dr. Olivier Coube stepping down as Technical Director at the end of February 2019.

Bruno received a Master’s Degree in Physics (1988, Uni Genova), and a Diploma of Specialist in Material Science and Technology (1993). After 10 months at KFA Jülich (Germany), he worked from 1990 to 2002 as a researcher on Powder Technology, Materials and Applications at Centro Sviluppo Materiali SpA in Genova. Bruno was a founding partner of the MIM Company MIMITALIA Srl, which became Clayver Srl in 2016, and worked there from 2002 to 2019 as a Production Manager, responsible for research projects and liaison with EPMA and the EU. He was also Co-Chairman of the EuroMIM group from 2003 to 2017, and a member of the EPMA Council from 2005 to 2017. Since February 2019 Bruno joined the EPMA, based out of the new EPMA Office in Chantilly, France.

Bruno has joined the EPMA as a Technical Manager and he will be actively following several sectoral groups, these being EuroFM, EuroHM, EuroMIM, EuroPress&Sinter, gather and analyse relevant statistics, organise research projects, whilst actively fostering the development of new research programmes. He is also responsible for coordinating the EPMA’s Training and Education activities, through the EPMI Working Group, and to increase the culture of PM in our industry and the general audience, to help enhance global awareness of our business sector.
