The quality of the parts needs be constantly improved: by better starting materials, by better pressing and sintering procedures, by better secondary treatments, in general by improved equipment and tooling. Sustainability issues are also part of the game nowadays, as the consumption of energy and other resources needs to be carefully considered to reduce impact on the environmental footprint of finished parts.
The speakers will give examples of modern achievements and trends that will allow part producers to improve their processes and the quality of their parts, while simultaneously optimising costs and sustainability.
In addition to the lectures, the seminar will also feature an interactive part, where all participants will share their view in a brainstorming session. This will give everyone the opportunity to contribute to highlight priorities, possible developments and applications, etcetera, also in view of possible collaborative R&D. Provisional topics are “Simulation” and “Sustainability”.
The seminar will be held on 28-29 March 2023, hosted by the Press&Sinter producer AMES Sintering Group nearby Barcelona. The city is easy by plane and public transportation and the accommodation opportunities are many and for all choices. Participation from remote will be possible, although not optimal for the full experience. In particular, speakers are strongly encouraged to be onsite in Barcelona.
