The Systematic Approach to Quality Management in Powder Metallurgy (PM) Seminar will mainly focus on the quality of Powder Metallurgy (PM) Structural Parts. PM Structural Parts are mainly produced by mixing, die pressing and heat (sintering) powder alloys before possible post processing. The main market for iron based PM Structural Parts is the automotive industry. The seminar will focus on the PM Structural Parts processes but most of the presented approaches can be applied to other sectors.

Participants will be shown PM's advantages and techniques by leading experts from both Industry and academia. The Seminar will focus on such aspects as, quality requirements in fast changing environments, quality systems and related standards, techniques for continuous improvements and basic metrology to name but a few. This intensive 2-day training course will be beneficial to technical and managerial personnel, as well as end users who wish to gain a more comprehensive idea of quality in the PM process.

The course fees includes two nights’ accommodation at the NH Viapol hotel, coffee breaks, lunch and a special dinner in Seville on the evening of 17th May. A tour has been organised for Friday 18th in the afternoon following the seminar, to First Quantum Minerals, a copper mining, extraction and refining site, there is a small fee for this tour but you may opt in when registering.

Registration deadline is Wednesday 11th April.
