Additive Manufacturing (AM) is a key enabling technology not only to reshape and rethink the whole value chain, but also to help industry meet sustainability goals through a novel and better use of raw materials and resources, reduction of wastes, on-demand production and extension of product lifetime. In this webinar, the sustainability aspects related to AM processes will be explored, showing how AM can contribute to the twin transition.
The most interesting eco-design solutions that can be adopted in this framework will be presented, as well as real industrial examples in the field of fused filament fabrication.
The webinar will help students, young engineers and industry representers to understand and learn about sustainability with up-to-date concepts of LCA (Life Cycle Analysis), LCC (Life Cycle Costing) and Eco-Design together with the related developed standards.
