Wear Characteristics of High Chromium Alloyed Steel

Abstract

The wear characteristics of sintered high-chromium alloyed steel at room temperature and at temperatures of 700 and 900�C by using pin on disc method were studied. The results showed that with increasing test temperature both friction coefficient and wear rate have decreasing tendency. Based on morphology, chemical composition and classification of the wear trace features the of wear was explained.
