Abstract

The mechanical behavior of metal materials that is deformation and destruction, as influenced by outer forces, is structurally sensitive and is controlled by dislocation configurations which are thermodynamically unbalanced, besides, as for powder sintered materials, the presence of residual porosity influences the mechanical properties. At the same time, there is a big class of parts such as gears of fuel pumps, gerotor couples of hydromachines, leading gears for high rotation reducers et.al for the reliable work of which high strength ?ombined with high contact tolerance are required if the parts are manufactured by powder metallurgy method. This can be done if powder steel density is within the range 7,55 ? 7,62 g / c? 3.
