The complete production process of a sintered part involves several steps, starting with the creation of powder from raw material until the optional finishing operation. The results obtained in terms of mechanical and physical properties are variable, depending on the multiple factors involved in the process. It is well known that titanium-based alloy have high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent overall mechanical characteristics, good corrosion resistance and satisfactory biocompatibility. For this reasons they are widely employed for biomedical purposes. Within low modulus alloys, one of the most widely used is known as TNZT. The object of this study will be Ti-Nb-Zr-Ta alloys, with two different percentage of Niobium (24% and 35%) using mechanical alloying. In general, the mechanical alloy samples have a lower flexural strength, but a lower elastic modulus than the elemental blended powder samples.
