Camera Tripod Body
Benefit: Weight Saving
Main Forming Process: Metal Injection Moulding
End Use Sector: Consumer Goods
Material: Ferrous

Finishing: Maching and electropolishing

A set of four pieces that compose a stainless steel tripod for cameras with excellent corrosion properties as the tripod is intended for outdoor demanding applications.

The most impressive part of the set is the tripod body: a 260 g stainless steel, AISI 316, piece produced using MIM. This austenitic stainless steel was chosen for its corrosion resistance. The as-sintered part is then subjected to machining to remove sintering built- in supports, to resize lateral holes and realise the thread. The part is then electro polished to reach its final and pre-assembling stage.
