Benefit: Improved Performance
Main Forming Process: Conventional Processing
End Use Sector: Consumer Goods, Domestic Tools
Material: Ferrous
Finishing: Pressing, Sinter Hardening, Oil Impregnation
Requirements
The gearset is made up of two components, the gear and pinion. The pinion gear was particularly challenging as the tooth density is crucial to fulfil the customer requirements. The customer undertakes Gearhead Assembly tests for strength and endurance, making the two gears the most critical components.
Benefits
In this instance PM parts have helped to increase the durability of the assembled product.
