Research into sinter joining for Metal Injection Molding (MIM) by Rolls-Royce Deutschland and Fraunhofer IFAM has received the Rolls-Royce Innovation Award 2026 in the Publications category.

Conducted under the LuFo project KOMPAKT, the work was published as ‘A study on a method of sinter joining in the metal injection moulding process’, by Mikael Luoto, Enrico Daenicke, Ralf Müller and Thomas Hartwig.
