Lithoz, based in Vienna, Austria, has announced that it will launch its new LithaBite alumina, for the Additive Manufacturing of translucent orthodontic ceramic brackets.

Using LithaBite with Lithoz‘s lithography-based ceramic manufacturing (LCM) technology enables the production of orthodontic brackets with material consumption less than 0.1 g per bracket. These are optimised with the unique digital surface enhancement (DSE) software, which is said to ensure a smoother surface to meet the highest aesthetic standards.

Lithoz will also present its new generation of zirconia. With a Weibull modulus of 20 – said to be one of the highest achieved values in additively manufactured ceramics – while still maintaining the material’s mechanical structure, the zirconia is suited for use in large-scale serial production of innovative dental applications.

Lithoz will also be showcasing its latest work in additively manufactured lithium disilicate (LS2) restorations, demonstrating advancements in dental materials and digital manufacturing.
