A message from the Nickel Institute to all producers and users of nickel and nickel compounds.
Please complete the online questionnaire by 15 July 2025, on time for the first available measurement slot (week 31, 28 July 2025).
Data collection is free of charge and will be used to update the REACH worker contribution scenarios. Data will be treated with the highest confidentiality and will be aggregated in an anonymous (untraceable) manner. We strongly encourage you to respond since you will be able to use the data free of charge to ensure your company compliance, since assessing worker exposure is mandatory by law, and therefore any authority can request this exposure data and compliance report at any time.
We would like to invite you to participate in an online survey to help us organise a monitoring campaign on inhalation exposure to nickel, and to submit any existing exposure monitoring data for nickel that you may have. The Nickel Institute and the Nickel Consortium will cover all arising expenses for sampling and analysis, so you only need to spare personnel and time to generate up-to-date exposure monitoring data.
To join the campaign, please complete the online questionnaire
🔹 Step 1: Register an account at https://ebrc-survey.de/register.
(If you already have an account for the same affiliation, you can use your existing login.)
🔹 Step 2: Provide basic company information during registration. Indicating your consortium membership is optional but would help coordinate multi-metal sampling and analysis. Submit the registration
🔹 Step 3: Activate your account via the email confirmation you receive (check your spam folder if necessary).
🔹 Step 4: Log in and select “Add survey” from the menu. Enter the survey token “Ni24SafMC” to access the relevant questionnaire titled “Occupational Exposure to Nickel – Monitoring Campaign.”
🔹 Step 5: Complete the survey and click “Save” at the end. If any fields are left incomplete, you will see a message at the top prompting corrections. You can update saved responses until the survey closes.
If you require assistance with registration or completion of the questionnaire, please contact EBRC directly at ni-occexp@ebrc-survey.de.
If you wish to participate in the online survey as a company or site representative, please create a user account at https://ebrc-survey.de/register.(Please note that you can use an existing account if you have already registered for the same affiliation on this website.)
As part of the registration process, you will be asked to provide a minimum set of company-specific information. Indication of your company’s membership of a consortium, other than Ni and Ni compounds is optional but would help us to potentially organise sampling/analysis of different metals at the same time. This would help your compliance for the additional metals too. Once you have submitted the registration form, you will receive an email containing a link to activate your user account (please also check your spam folder).
Once your account is activated, you can access the survey by selecting the “Add survey” menu option (only available when signed in). Please use “Ni24SafMC” as the survey token.
Once you have submitted the token, the sidebar on the left titled ‘Survey Folder’ will display an entry titled ‘Occupational Exposure to Nickel – Monitoring Campaign’. Clicking on the title will give you access to the relevant questionnaire.
Information will only be saved after you click the save button at the end of the questionnaire. If you leave any fields empty or provide incomplete information, you will receive a corresponding message at the top of the questionnaire. You can update a saved questionnaire until the survey is closed.
If you require assistance with registration or completion of the questionnaire, please contact EBRC directly at ni-occexp@ebrc-survey.de.
