AM 4 AM, based in Foetz, Luxembourg, has announced the acquisition of an ATO SPARQ PRO atomiser from 3D Lab, headquartered in Warsaw, Poland. AM 4 AM is the first European company to be equipped with this new machine.

This investment follows AM 4 AM’s successful seed funding round and progress in the development of high-performance and sustainable metal materials. Integrating the ATO SPARQ PRO for Additive Manufacturing is intended to expand the company’s ability to rapidly iterate on alloy compositions, improve powder quality control, and expand its offering for demanding sectors such as aerospace, automotive, industrial manufacturing, and energy.

The ATO SPARQ PRO enables the controlled atomisation of metal powders in small volumes, making it well-suited to rapid experimentation, prototyping, and alloy screening. Its new AI-enabled features are designed to streamline parameter optimisation, reduce the number of iterative cycles needed to achieve target properties and accelerate the overall R&D workflow.

“Integrating the ATO SPARQ PRO completes AM 4 AM’s technological portfolio. With this atomiser, we now control the entire value chain, from powder production to processing and finally materials characterisation,” stated Maxime Delmée, co-founder and CEO of AM 4 AM. “Everything in our workflow has been designed for fast and efficient iteration in materials development.”

“The new AI features of the ATO SPARQ PRO will further decrease the number of iterative cycles required during development,” he continued. “This will make our R&D capabilities even more efficient and accelerate the delivery of new, high-performance materials to the market.”

Mariusz Leśniak, Sales Director of 3D Lab seller Arcway, added, “We are truly delighted that AM 4 AM has chosen our solution. They will be the first to receive the newest and most advanced tool on the market for producing exceptionally high-quality powder, following a thorough assessment of their needs. This decision reflects not only the capabilities of the ATO SPARQ PRO, but also the years of expertise and effort we have invested in developing its new AI-driven architecture. By embedding our extensive experience directly into the system, we created a tool that can genuinely support AM 4 AM in strengthening their position in the highly demanding field of new alloy development. We are proud to accompany them on this strategic step forward in advancing Additive Manufacturing.”
