EPMA is pleased to announce the release of “Key Figures 2025 — Overview of Status & Trends in PM Industry”, a concise reference document bringing together the latest European Powder Metallurgy (PM) indicators, high-level market splits and end-use context in one place.

What’s inside

The publication is structured around three sections:

  • 1 / PM Statistics — EU metal powder production (2024), PM parts tonnage by sector (2024), value of parts production (2024), plus dedicated snapshots for Press & Sinter, Hard Materials, Metal Injection Moulding and Additive Manufacturing.
  • 2 / Economics — GDP (constant prices, percent change) and selected commodities.
  • 3 / Industries — dashboards covering Automotive, Aerospace, Medical and Energy.

Selected highlights (teaser)

To illustrate the type of indicators covered, the report notes:

  • Overall EU metal powder production decreased by 2.1% to 211 kt in 2024 (vs 2023).
  • Metal powder for PM parts decreased by 5.7% to 171 kt in 2024 (vs 2023).
  • Powder producers still predominantly supply Press & Sinter, accounting for about 85% of powders for PM parts (by tonnage share).
  • Value of parts production shows a drop of about 2.3%, settling just above €13B.
