Grenzebach Group, headquartered in Hamlar, Germany, has announced a company restructuring, with the establishment of both Additive Manufacturing and Friction Stir Welding business units as independent companies effective January 1, 2026. The move is intended to strengthen two of the company’s strategic growth areas and increase flexibility in responding to market and customer requirements.

According to Steven Althaus, CEO of the Grenzebach Group, both business areas have demonstrated strong momentum in recent years. “Both areas have proven their growth potential over the past year,” he explained. “Additive Manufacturing recorded growth of almost 20%, and Friction Stir Welding successfully continued its strong performance of previous years. With the new organisational structure, we are creating the foundation to expand this momentum further and support our customers even more effectively.”
