With thousands of machines delivered and an unparalleled global service network – supported by subsidiaries in the USA, China, and Japan – we remain a trusted partner for our customers in the fields of hard metals, specialty materials and iron powder.

In September of last year, we began a carefully planned transition process as our respected CEO, Rolf Graf, had long intended to hand over the company at the age of 70. While this generational change was strategically prepared, the current global environment – including geopolitical tensions, a strong Swiss franc, and the general challenging economic environment – caused delays in the process.

We are therefore pleased and proud to announce that we have now found a strong and committed investor who shares our values and our strategy: Osterwalder is now part of Picanol Group, a business unit of Tessenderlo Group, an entrepreneurial and future-oriented industrial group headquartered in Belgium.

Picanol Group consists of four other companies: Picanol (weaving machines), Proferro (foundry and mechanical finishing), Psicontrol (development and production of electronics), and Melotte (3D metal printing and high precision finishing). Picanol Group shares our values and commitment to excellence. Together we are ready to shape a future defined by innovation and international strength.

 What this means for the customers and partners:

• The new Osterwalder Technology AG and all its subsidiaries (USA, China, Japan) will continue to operate as independent legal entities.
• Open customer contracts and their performance obligations are transferred to Osterwalder Technology AG.
• The team, contacts, and service team will continue to support you – now with even greater resources and long-term backing.

With Tessenderlo Group as the parent company, Osterwalder is ideally positioned to expand the product portfolio, invest in new technologies, and further enhance global services.
