SWISSto12, headquartered in Renens, Switzerland, has closed a €61 million ($70 million) Series C funding round, following the award of €73 million ($84.8 million) from European Space Agency (ESA) Member States to the HummingSat ARTES partnership project. Through the programme, ESA is supporting SWISSto12 in the development and in-orbit validation of its HummingSat geostationary (GEO) small satellite.

The HummingSat platform uses proprietary Additive Manufacturing technologies to enable faster production, reduced costs and more compact satellite designs, lowering barriers to entry for space-based applications.
