Linear Abrasive, based in Marin-Epagnier, Neuchâtel, Switzerland, has developed a new line of grinding machines specifically designed for machining permanent magnets. The new machines have been designed to ensure optimal stability in the machining process and, thanks to high-precision guide systems, high-performance spindles, and advanced CNC technologies, it is now possible to produce complex geometries with exceptional repeatability for industrial production.

Modern permanent magnets, particularly those made from rare earth elements, have demanding technical characteristics, explains Linear Abrasive. Their hardness, brittleness, and very tight dimensional tolerances require the use of extremely precise and perfectly controlled grinding processes.
